XII. THE HANGED MAN

Surrender. Stasis. Reflection. Enlightenment. New perspective. Divine mysteries. Acceptance.

The image of The Hanged Man urges you to let go and surrender to the process of embracing your fate.

Lean into discomfort. Give up control. Practice patience. Meditate. Reflect. Remember to honor your need for sacred rest.

When darkness falls, peaceful Hypnos—in tandem to twin brother Thanatos, Minister of Death—softly drifts through dreams of universal truth, calling forth from the stillness the awakenings of internal expansion.

Change is not merely the act of release, but in the art of allowing. The only way forward is through.

“Delirium” or “What Goes Up Must Come Down,” created in collaboration with artist Jim Shepherd for the EPHEMERAL group show hosted by Menagerie Sacramento (October 2016). Long before production of the Lemniscus Tarot, this piece was inspired by the imagery and themes of The Hanged Man in Tarot. Drawn on transparent vellum, manually cut out, and pasted with acid free book-binding glue over the abstract painting by Mr. Shepherd.
