“Impressions”

Her mask is up, but the key to her heart is lost in the word-vomit. As she drops hints in her rambling, she cannot read his feelings, yet still she goes on. Meanwhile, a host of other options flutters around them.

Like the girl, I know my heart is a lock and every person holds a different key. Some may seem to fit, but take forcing. Some are just all wrong. And some pick past my defenses, disarming tumblers and entering numerical combinations that I handed over only too carelessly. Is there a key that is “the one?” Perhaps, but it does not do well to look for it in the hands of others.

“IMPRESSIONS” explores the truth that there are many persons that can fill our hearts, but only we have the power to open or keep the heart locked. The strength to be vulnerable is our hands.
